The Laulau 8.3GT-S Rev2.0 is a multi-piece offshore fishing rod designed for diverse big game angling, from Okinawa to Hokkaido and beyond. Engineered as a single-rod solution, it handles fish from under 10kg to 100kg, utilizing the mD2 system which employs varied materials and construction in each section for optimal performance across this range. Compared to the Rev1.0, this version is more focused on lure fishing and offshore targets, featuring enhanced blank power for increased casting distance and lifting capability. The design strategically divides the rod: the 1st and 2nd sections prioritize casting and lure control, while the 3rd and 4th are built for lifting, providing the necessary bending and "stickiness" to bring fish to the surface. This increased power makes it ideal for species like Giant Trevally (GT), large Yellowtail, and Bluefin Tuna, offering the strength to manage their powerful runs. The robust butt section provides both power and flexibility for lifting.

Travel-Friendly Design and Tested Performance

Designed for travel, the Laulau 8.3GT-S Rev2.0 packs down to 530mm, minimizing travel risks. This lightweight, strong, and flexible rod is suitable for various species and comes with two grips: an expedition screw grip and a seamless straight grip. Extensive testing has demonstrated its effectiveness on species like GT, Bluefin and Yellowfin Tuna, Yellowtail, Amberjack, Cubera Snapper, Threadfin Salmon, Pirarucu, Jau, and Piraiba.
