Duralumin (hardened aluminum alloy) , commonly seen in aircraft construction, is machined and then surrounded by the U-shaped rubber ring. Wind the line around the ring two or more times to ensure a firm fit without slipping or causing discomfort. The Shime Ring AL should be kept on the index finger while fishing, with the line being pulled onto the fingertip side when ready to use. When not in use, the item is so small it can simply be kept in a pocket. Three colors are available to suit the average male index finger size, providing a reliable connection for PE and leader lines with each finger wearing a Shime Ring AL. (Compatible with PE No. 1.5).
